The Fatigue in Lupus Intervention Programmes (FLIP) Study Image This study aims to investigate if a live online group fatigue management programme is more effective than standard care, which is currently booklets, at helping patients with lupus manage their fatigue. Many patients with lupus experience high levels of fatigue, but we don’t know what kind of approach or intervention is most helpful at managing this symptom. Access to fatigue management varies widely across the NHS, and the standard approach tends to be fatigue booklets. The team at the University of Edinburgh want to explore the effectiveness of fatigue management programmes by exploring the impact of three different programmes on patients with lupus. These are a fatigue management booklet, a four-week live online fatigue management programme, and a seven-week live online fatigue management programme. If you have lupus, and fatigue affects your quality of life, this study may be for you. One of the research team will be in touch to let you know which group, after you fill in the first set of questionnaires, which are about your fatigue, your symptoms, and your quality of life.
