I am a clinical academic rheumatologist, dedicated to treating patients with rheumatic diseases like arthritis. As the lead Principal Investigator of the Rheumatology Research Group, I invite you to meet our team and explore our research on our Group page.
I am an affiliate of the Centre for Regenerative Medicine at the Institute for Regeneration and Repair. I am also Deputy Director of the Versus Arthritis Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Therapies Centre, which brings together investigators from multiple UK institutions to advance discovery science towards clinical translation in osteoarthritis. My research spans discovery, translational science, and clinical studies. Our laboratory investigates joint homeostasis, mechanisms of repair, and arthritis. Our ultimate goal is to develop therapies that support tissue repair, halt disease progression, and restore joint health.
Clinical research focuses on early detection and patient stratification for targeted interventions and personalised medicine. As a clinician, I aspire to translate our research findings into novel and improved treatments for people living with rheumatic diseases.
