The SCOTTY Study is a major initiative to sequence the whole genome of young colon cancer patients and both parents where there is no evidence of cancer running in the family. This will, in the long term, help us to develop new treatments and predict who will be susceptible to cancer and so be able to prevent disease progression.

The study is still recruiting participants who have a diagnosis of a bowel cancer before the age of 40 years and who do not have an underlying genetic cause or any close family members affected by the disease.

More information is available on the Scotty study website.
