New version of open-source bioimage analysis software QuPath released by team led by CGEM and IGC’s Dr Pete Bankhead Image QuPath is open-source software designed to help scientists analyse complex images for basic biology and biomedical research (https://qupath.github.io).First released in 2016, QuPath was created by Dr Pete Bankhead. It is now maintained and improved by Pete and his research group in the IGC.A growing number of researchers worldwide rely on QuPath for image analysis. The main paper describing the software was cited more than 700 times in 2022, representing over 40% of the total citations to date (1723 citations, Scopus).QuPath v0.4.0 is a major update that introduces many improvements and new features to address a wider range of image analysis challenges.
