IGC hosted inaugural lectures showcasing the work of three skin experts: May 2024 Two professors from the Institute of Genetics and Cancer showcased their journey, research and achievements at a public lecture event organised by the College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine in May.Grant Chair of Dermatology Professor Sara Brown and Personal Chair of Melanoma Genetics and Drug Discovery Professor Liz Patton were joined by Professor Richard Weller, Personal Chair of Medical Dermatology at the Institute for Regeneration and Repair, at the event hosted by the IGC.They discussed their careers and their research journeys, exploring emerging research into eczema, skin inflammation, the effects of sunlight on skin and skin cancer.Watch Sara’s talk below (our apologies, but due to a power-cut, we were unable to get a full recording of all the lectures).
