IGMM Cross-Disciplinary (XD) Challenge We invite final year undergraduate, MSc & PhD students from Physics, Computer Science, Informatics, Mathematics, Statistics, Chemistry, Engineering & Technology to dip into the world of biomedical research. You may not know it but you have skills that our research institute needs! We want to bridge disciplines through biology by bringing together cross-disciplinary (XD) teams of students to address some of our health research challenges – problems that we think they can help us address. This XD Challenge will facilitate cross-disciplinary (XD) team work and provide an opportunity to learn something new. Participants who take on this challenge will gain insights into our institute's increasing need for numerate health data science researchers to work at the boundaries between the disciplines of health and biomedical informatics, computer science, mathematics, statistics, epidemiology and others, disrupt traditional scientific methods, and apply novel analytical tools, such as AI, machine learning to structured and unstructured health data. Why does our Institute want to engage with people like you? We hope that you may consider develop your research career within an institute like the IGMM and help to accelerate research discoveries and applications across a spectrum of pressing health research challenges. IGMM students who wish to participate should apply via the same link The number of FREE places are limited so please apply ASAP.
