Huge congratulations to Jasmin Paris who won a 268-mile ultramarathon on Wednesday the 16th of January. Jasmin is an Edinburgh Clinical Academic Track/Cancer Research UK Fellow at the University of Edinburgh. She wasn’t just the first female to finish the race – she beat everybody in a course-record time of 83 hours 12 minutes 23 seconds. She did this during a “short break” from her PhD thesis work on acute myeloid leukaemia while also expressing breast milk for her baby.
