David’s research identifies genetic changes that result in abnormalities of development during early pregnancy, focusing on birth defects affecting the eye, the face and the brain in children. Knowledge of how these genes go wrong aids understanding of normal development, can help in children’s on-going treatment and may, in the longer term, help prevent other children having similar problems.Linkshttp://www.ed.ac.uk/mrc-human-genetics-unit/research/fitzpatrick-grouphttps://acmedsci.ac.uk/fellows/fellowship-news/new-fellowshttps://www.mrc.ac.uk/news/browse/mrc-researchers-join-fellowship-of-academy-of-medical-sciences1/ Tags 2017 Publication date 08 May, 2017
