Gain an insight into research and work in biological sciences: March 2015 Science Insights is a fun and insightful work experience programme from The MRC Institute of Genetics and Molecular Medicine (IGMM) and The Roslin Institute and Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies at the University of Edinburgh.Up to 20 high school students will spend a week (27th – 31st July) following a varied programme of activities on three different University of Edinburgh campuses, gaining a real insight into research and work in biological sciences.Activities will include:Shadowing researchers in the labTours of a range of scientific facilitiesPresentations and discussions on a range of topics, such as ethics in research, the use of animals in research and various career pathsOpportunities to meet current University of Edinburgh studentsSkills session to help with future university and job applicationsApplications for the 2015 Science Insights programme are open until Friday 24th April 2015.
