About
The IGC Bioinformatics team are collaborative partners in the analysis and interpretation of high-throughput biological and biomedical data. We work with researchers across the project lifecycle, from experimental design and grant planning to data analysis, visualisation, publication support and data submission. Our team provides expertise across genomics, transcriptomics, epigenomics, methylation, cancer genomics, multi-omics, statistical analysis, workflow development and reproducible research. We offer both defined analysis packages and bespoke support tailored to the aims, scale and complexity of each project.
We encourage early engagement so that study design, metadata requirements, statistical considerations, storage needs and analysis plans can be reviewed before data generation begins. Final costs and timelines are confirmed following project scoping and are based on analyst time required.

Research Use and Interpretation Disclaimer
Unless explicitly agreed in writing, analyses are provided for research purposes only and do not constitute a clinical diagnostic service.
Variant interpretation, cancer genomics analysis or rare disease prioritisation outputs should not be used for clinical decision-making without appropriate clinical validation and review by accredited professionals.
Explore our bioinformatics analysis workflows across genomics, transcriptomics, epigenomics, cancer genomics and multi-omics. Each workflow includes indicative analyst effort and example outputs to help researchers plan their projects.
We provide tailored bioinformatics and data science support, from bespoke analyses and pipeline development to statistical modelling, machine learning and data visualisation. Our team works with researchers to develop reproducible solutions suited to their scientific questions and project requirements.
We offer expert consultancy, project planning and practical training to support researchers at every stage of their projects. Our services include experimental design, grant application support, bioinformatics workshops and longer-term research collaborations.
Our standard analysis packages cover the key stages of a defined bioinformatics project, from initial scoping and quality control to analysis, visualisation and reporting. Additional analyses or changes in project scope can be discussed and costed separately.
Project timelines and costs depend on data volume, quality, complexity and analysis requirements. We assess each project individually and agree on the scope, estimated effort and deliverables before work begins.
We support secure and responsible data handling throughout the analysis process, in accordance with applicable institutional and regulatory requirements. Researchers remain responsible for long-term data storage, backups and ensuring appropriate approvals and data governance arrangements are in place.
